The Fourth of July 2009 was a new experience for our family. First, we were missing Taely and our family did not feel complete. Second, we are experiencing the 4th in the Pacific Northwest for the first time. We decided to go to Cottonwood Beach in Washougal and experience a local celebration as well as the Columbia River. We had yet to get our feet wet. It was an unusually hot day for the 4th. The river was cold, but "the kids" said it felt good. Matt and I waded, but did not swim. We plan to go back someday though with floaties. The city of Washougal had set up vendors and toys for the celebration. They toys and entertainment were free which was a nice surprise. The kids loved it.
We are the Andrews six! Matt, Carol, Taely & Eric Loynd, Kara & Grant Burton, Hunter and Kaden. Jax Loynd and Baby Burton
